A.place close beside :—pres. Act. only in form παρυφιστάνω , indicate, A.D.Adv.129.18 : pf., stand close beside, παρυφέστηκε τῇ χρηστῇ παρασκευῇ εἴδωλον Proll. Hermog. in Rh. 4.21 W.
II. Pass., with aor. 2 -υπέστην, subsist coordinately with, τινι Stoic. 2.48, S.E.P.1.205, D.L.9.105, Plot.2.9.14, Porph.Sent.43, Ascl. in Metaph.371.2 : abs., Simp. in Cat.110.5.
