A.pouring forth much, yielding much, of animals, prolific, Arist.HA629a35, cf. Vett. Val.10.28; of fruit and grain, Thphr.HP8.4.3; “πολυχούστερα τὰ χεδροπά” Id.CP4.8.1; “τὸ καταβληθὲν πολύχουν ἀποδίδωσιν” J.BJ4.8.3: metaph. of a writer or orator, copious, “τῶν καθ᾽ αὑτὸν πολυχούστατος” Phld.Acad.Ind.p.102 M., cf. Rh.1.157 S.
2. capable of great diffusion, Hp.Vict.2.56.
