ὁμοειδ-ής , ές,
A.of the same species or kind, whether in regard to natural distinctions, Arist.Metaph. 1032a24, GA747b30, al. ; or logical, Id.Rh.1405a36 : generally, “τὰ ὁ.” Epicur.Sent.Vat.73, cf. Metrod.Fr.17, etc. : c. dat., Polystr.Herc. 346p.86V.
2. of like form, “κρατῆρες” Plb.34.11.17 ; homogeneous, Arist.Ph.188a13 (codd.omnes), Metaph.1014a30. Adv. “-δῶς” Phld.Rh. 2.244 S., M.Ant.9.35.
3. generally, corresponding, ἡλικίῃ μάλιστα τῇ ὁμοειδέϊ at the corresponding season, of dogs going mad θέρεος καὶ ὑπὸ κύνα, Hp.Ep.19 (Hermes53.70).
4. uniform, “κίνησις” Plot.3.7.8 ; unaltered, “ἄνθος” Dsc.4.58.
5. of an author, lacking in variety, monotonous, D.H.Pomp.3, cf. Cic.Att.2.6.1.—Cf. ὁμοιοειδής.
