A.tending old age, χήτει γηροκόμοιο for want of one to tend one's age, Hes.Th.605; ἃς δαίμων ἀντ᾽ ἐμέθεν ὤπασε γηροκόμους, i.e. daughters, Epigr.Gr.536 (Tomi); “χείρ γ.IG3.1335; “φροντίδες γ.Opp.H.5.85: in later Prose (written γηρωκόμος), J.AJ1.13.3, Alciphr.3.16, Lib.Decl.49.25.
