βι^-ώσκομαι , causal of βιόω,
A.quicken, make or keep alive, once in Hom. in aor., “σὺ γάρ μ᾽ ἐβιώσαο, κούρη” Od.8.468; cf. βιόσσαο: the pres. occurs in the compd. ἀναβιώσκομαι.
II. later in pass. sensc, rcvive, “ἕτεροι τόποι βιώσκονται” Arist.Mete.351a35; simply, live, “βιωσαμένῳ” IG14.2100; “βιώσκεσθαι” Arr.Ind.9.
