Med.), “ῥιπτεῖ” S.Aj.239 (anap.), Ant.131 (anap.), Tr.780, “ῥιπτεῖν” E.Tr.734 cod. P, “ῥιπτοῦνθ᾽” Hel.1096 cod. L, “ῥιπτοῦντες” Heracl.149 codd. LP; ῥίπτετ᾽ and ἔρριπτον are guaranteed by the metre in E.HF941, Ba.1097, so that ῥίπτων, ῥίπτει may be accepted in E.Ba.150 (lyr.), Hel.1325 (lyr.); ῥιπτέω is found also in Prose, “ῥιπτεῦσι” Hdt.4.94 (v.l.); ῥιπτέουσι ib.188, cf. 7.50 (ἀνα-), 8.53, Th.4.95 (ἀνα-), Pl.Ti.80a, Arist.Ph.266b30, Mu.396a2, Plb.1.47.4, al., Agatharch.26; “ῥειπτουμένων” OGI629.158 (Palmyra, ii A.D.), etc.
